{"id":22187,"date":"2025-05-08T14:40:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T12:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=22187"},"modified":"2025-07-16T19:43:20","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T17:43:20","slug":"work-offline","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/en\/kb\/work-offline\/","title":{"rendered":"Working Offline"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This setting is used to save assigned orders and records on your local device when you need to work in locations that lack cellular and Wi-Fi coverage.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can you do offline?<\/h4>\n\n<p>You can execute assigned orders, fill in all details, including items, and view customer\/facility details.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\">You need to be assigned an order to be able to work with it offline.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What <strong>can&#8217;t<\/strong> you do offline?<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add or edit customer records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log out and log in again.<br\/>Logging out deactivates offline mode. If you are in a situation where you cannot reach the network, you cannot log in again and therefore cannot use the app. As a reminder of this, you will receive a pop-up with a warning not to log out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don&#8217;t work for too long without a network, as there is a limit to how much can be stored locally on your mobile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To activate off-line<\/h4>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/PS_EN_mobil_activate_offline.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22616\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Image 1. Activate offline mode.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Click your username to go to <em>Manage Account<\/em>. Under <em>Settings<\/em>, select <em>Activate offline mode<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All your <strong>assigned<\/strong> orders will now be downloaded to your device, as well as the supported registers. This will take a while, so be patient!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A symbol in the right corner shows you that the order is saved locally on your device. <em>See image 3.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sync assigned orders<\/h4>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/PS_EN_mobile_sync.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22183\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Image 2. Sync assigned orders.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>If you later need to actively sync the orders or is unsure if all orders have been downloaded, click on the sync symbol at the bottom left of your mobile phone (no. 1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A popup will show the download (no. 2). If you have many orders to sync, this will take a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You normally don&#8217;t need to do this, as syncing happens automatically.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before you go offline\/lose network<\/h4>\n\n<p>Make sure you are <strong>assigned<\/strong> to the order you are going to work on.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">While working<\/h4>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/PS_EN_mobile_downloaded_order_symbole.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22628\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A symbol in the right corner shows you that the order is saved locally on your device. This means you can work with it without mobile coverage or wi-fi.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>A download icon in the right corner of the detail view tells you which orders are downloaded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>Go to the orders you are going to work on and click <strong>Perform<\/strong> (for service orders) or <strong>Edit<\/strong> (work orders). Fast add articles can not be used when working offline.<\/p>\n\n<p>What you fill in is temporarily saved on<strong> your device<\/strong>, even if you leave that order view.<\/p>\n\nNOTE: Do <strong>not<\/strong> click Save<strong>.<\/strong>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customer signatur<\/h4>\n\n<p>Using customer signature?<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on <em>Customer signature<\/em> and have the customer sign.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <em>Sign<\/em> and sign yourself.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will receive a message stating that you are offline.
