{"id":23637,"date":"2025-07-09T13:42:35","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T11:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/kb\/hide-article-to-customers-and-print-on-an-order\/"},"modified":"2025-07-09T19:17:29","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T17:17:29","slug":"hide-article-to-customers-and-print-on-an-order","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/en\/kb\/hide-article-to-customers-and-print-on-an-order\/","title":{"rendered":"Hide article to customers and print on an order"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This function is used when an individual article on an order should not be displayed to a logged-in customer and when printing.<\/p>\n\n<p>You can also temporarily change the &#8220;Hide for customers and print&#8221; setting on an article on an individual order.<\/p>\n\n<p>The option is available on these order types:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serviceprotocol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sales order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purchase order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quotation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>On the far right of an article row in the detail view, you will see a small gear. The symbol is\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0present when you have selected\u00a0<strong>Edit<\/strong>\u00a0on an order.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/PS_EN_articlesymbol_cogwheel.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23616\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1 \u2013 Set user permission<\/h4>\n\n<p>To be able to select Hide\/Show, each user who is to be able to do this needs to be granted permission to use the function. The setting requires admin permission.<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <em>Group settings.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on a user who should have the permission to \u201chide\u201d. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll to\u00a0<strong>Other<\/strong> and select \u201c\u00a0Set article row visibility\u201c.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the setting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/PS_EN_userpermission_other_Set_visibility.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23614\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>In addition to this permission, you must have the permission to edit the order.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2 \u2013 On the order<\/h4>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hide<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>Click the gear and select \u201cHide\u201d. To indicate your choice, the text will be grayed out.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.serviceprotokoll.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/PS_EN_WO_hide_article.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23624\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Here the article &#8220;Gaswire Sub&#8221; is set to Hide.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If an article is marked as hidden on the article record<\/h5>\n\n<p>If you see \u201cShow\u201d you have, on the article record, marked that this article to\u00a0<em>Hide from customers and print<\/em>. The setting on the article record itself will not change.<\/p>\n\n<p>The text below the gear wheel will now change to Visibility based on setting (Hide).
