New user permission<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

“Show all custom statuses”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The option is available for Work Orders<\/strong> and Service<\/strong>(orders). The permission is checked by default so you only need to act if a technician should NOT see custom selected statuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TYPE on custom status<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

On all<\/strong> custom fields you can choose whether the content of the field should be text, number or date. If you choose number you cannot write text, only numbers and for dates a calendar is displayed where you select the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By default, text<\/strong> is selected for all your already created custom fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Custom status on service objects<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Now you can create your own statuses for service objects. Do this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1 and 2 requires admin permission:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to Group settings – Service object settings<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enter the expression you want to use on your status in the “Name” field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Select a color by clicking on the blue color box. The color is displayed as a dot in front of the status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Optionally, fill in a description to clarify what the status means. The description appears in the popup when you select the status and when you hover over a status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Save<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Step 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Choose whether a signature should be required to change status by checking the box under View settings “Require signature on status change”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Step 3<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On the service object, then select Status by clicking the “Change status” link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Depending on the settings you have made, you may need to sign the status change.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
