In many list views you will see a number of different dates, Planned date, Created date, last modified, dates you have entered yourself in a custom field, etc.
There is often also one that is just called Date. What date is this then? Here we will figure it out!
First – date can be different depending on the function in which it occurs.
Service
If Not handled → *the order date is displayed.
If booking exists → The next booking is displayed.
If Performed → the date of the service protocol is displayed (if available), otherwise the *date of the order.
*When a service order is created, it will have a created date that is today’s date and a planned date that is based on the service interval you have set. If there is no service interval or if you have not selected an interval when creating the service order, the created date and planned date will be the same.
Also note that there is a Service Order setting that can affect which date is displayed for the planned date: Update planned date when booking
Work order
→ The planned date is displayed.
There are two Work Order settings that can affect the planned date: Use planned date (if this is not selected in the settings, there is no planned date) and Set default planned date to today.
If booking exists→ The first booked date is displayed.
If changes have been made and there is a booking after the last change → the next booking after the change is displayed. Otherwise → display the last booking.
If no booking exists and the work order is ready for invoicing or already invoiced → the last edit date is displayed.
Contact order
If a booking exists → the date for the next booking is displayed.
Sales order
→ The delivery date is displayed, otherwise the order date, otherwise the creation date (in that order).
Purchase order
→ The delivery date is displayed.
Quotation
→ The delivery date is displayed, otherwise the valid to date, otherwise the created date (in that order).
