How address and contact are retrieved

Address

New work order, service order and sales order

If an address is missing, the system moves on and looks for an address elsewhere.

Addresses are retrieved in this order when you create an order via the + symbol:

  1. On the order
  2. From the facility
  3. From the customer record
    • a. Visiting address
    • b. Invoice address
    • c. Email address
From Facility

If the order is created from a facility, the address of the facility is retrieved. If no address is found at the facility, the system proceeds to the customer according to point 3 above.

From customer

If an order is created from a customer, the customer’s visiting address is primarily retrieved. If there is no visiting address, the invoice address is retrieved.

Quotation

Under delivery address on a quote, all of the customer’s addresses are listed. After each address, you can see what type of address it is (invoice address, visiting address…).

When you print a quote (the standard printout), the visiting address of the customer and any delivery address specified on the quote are entered.

Person of contact

If you place the cursor in the contact field when creating an order, all contacts at the customer and the customer’s facilities are listed. If the contact is at a facility, you will see it in parentheses after the name. You can also search for a facility in the contact person field to find all contact persons at that facility.

If you have not added a specific contact person to the order, the contact person will be retrieved from the customer.

If you have not added a specific contact person to the order, the contact person will be retrieved from the customer.
