Tags for date format

Content

You can specify any date and time format in the tags of Word templates.

The formatting works for date fields throughout the document, including repeating table rows, bookings, service objects, custom date fields, and articles to order.

Custom formatting is only used where format is specified after : in the date tag (see example under Syntax)

Syntax

{Tag:format}

Example:

TagResult
{Date}Existing standard format
{Date:yyyy-MM-dd}2026-10-29
{Date:dd/MM/yyyy}29/10/2026
{Date:dd MMMM yyyy}29 October 2026
{Date:dddd d MMMM yyyy}Thursday 29 October 2026
{Date:yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss}2026-10-29 14:30:00
{StartTime:HH:mm}14:30
{DeliveryDate:dd MMM yyyy}29 oct. 2026
{Date+30:yyyyMMdd}20261128
Note
  • Without a specified format, the tags work just as before in your template.
  • MM = mount, mm = minutes.
  • Month and weekday names follow the active language culture at PDF generation.
  • If a date is missing, the field is left blank.
  • Only date fields are affected, not regular text or numeric fields.
