Create article groups
You create article groups by entering a name in the Article group field on an article.
Being able to add new article groups is a user right. If you do not have that right, you can only choose between already existing article groups.
Article group is a pure text field and there is no list of available article groups. However, you can see which article groups you have created in the dropdown list when you place the cursor in the ARTICLE GROUP field on an article entry and in the list view if you have selected the Article group category in the headers.
Where are article groups used?
On an article record, you choose from those already entered or fill in a new name for an article group (if you have that right) if the article is to be part of an article group.
In order to be able to use Additional articles and Discount letter, you need to have Article groups. It is also possible to enter discounts on article groups in contracts.
In the module settings / article settings, set whether article groups should have special conditions attached to them, e.g. a discount.
