As an administrator, you can manage permissions for your users and your customer users. By setting permissions, you give users the permission to use certain parts of the system. These parts can e.g. be the ability to create and modify items, or only perform work or service orders.
To grant and change permissions for users in the system, you need admin permissions.
It’s recommended to set permissions only to the functions you use to minimize the menu.
How to edit permissions
- Sign in and go to Group settings.
- Scroll down to the Users section. Click on the person you want to grant or change permissions for.
- Select Edit permissions.
- Tick the permissions you want the user to have or choose a template. “Full” sets permissions to all settings in a function.
- Go to the bottom of the page and press the Save changes button.
A user marked with (external) means that it has limited permissions.
Create permission templates
You can create a template for common user permissions. When you then add users, you simply select a template that fits.
You find your templates under the heading Permission templates and on a users permission setting page.
To create a permission template, follow these steps:
- Under Permission templates click on +Create a new template.
- Name the template and click for the permissions to be activated in the template.
- Save the template.
You can create multiple templates with different settings.
You can make changes to the permissions of individual users without affecting the template.
Change a template
If you want to change a template, do this:
- Select the template you want to change
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
Change template for a user
Changes to a template do not update the permissions of users. To do so, enter each user and select the updated template for the user. You can also choose a new template for a user.
All previous settings for the user are then deleted and the new ones apply.
Only able to Execute?
If you want an employee to only be able to execute a work order and not be able to change anything on a work order, you choose this permission together with View permission. The employee can still add articles and Self-Checks.
